Route 22 Cup

Route 22 Cup - HCC vs. ALCC

The Route 22 Cup began as an idea between two friends, Matt Suchan & Joe Wible at Ferguson's Pub in Huntingdon. The discussion began as a Huntingdon Bearcats vs. Mount Union Trojans "Ryder Cup" style event. They reached out to Bruce Smith from Mount Union to start the process of setting up the event. The idea morphed into a tournament between the members of the ALCC and Huntingdon Country Club.

The event came to fruition and spread like wildfire between the two clubs and their members. It was built as a two-day event with each day being hosted by one of the clubs. Each course would nominate several captains and organize the event by members participating by pairing them up as close to handicaps as they could get to ensure fairness in each match. The weekend would finish with a total of 28 points available and the team with the most would win the travelling trophy.
