The Senior Invitational was first introduced at American Legion Country Club in 2019, quickly establishing itself as a highlight of the late summer schedule. Created to showcase the lifelong enjoyment of the game, it brings together golfers age 50 and older for a day of spirited competition and camaraderie.

From its inception, the Invitational has featured an 18-hole Better Ball of Partners, stroke play format, with teams flighted by their 9-hole performance. This structure ensures competitive balance while keeping the atmosphere fun and welcoming. Optional side games like skins, pins, and team pools have become a player favorite, adding extra energy to the event.

Today, the Senior Invitational stands not only as a competition, but as a celebration of friendship, tradition, and the timeless spirit of golf at ALCC.
